Song is biddable and easy to train. She is confident in close quarters with stock, with no tension. She'll nip a nose or quietly hock them if they don't yield. She doesn't have a lot of power so she needs that confidence. Song delights in new fields, new sheep and new challenges. I swear you can see her wide grin as she figures out how to control cagey stock at a trial. She thinks fast and remains biddable under pressure.

Song's brisk style has pushed my handling skills forward. She's a fun dog to go to the post with, and keeps me in the hunt.

Song has been my top trial dog for years. I can always count on her, a thinking partner. With her I always have a dog on the end of my whistle. She's taken me to the semi final round of the national finals, final rounds on multiple trials, won run offs, and to the World Trial. This year I've been noticing her missing commands at a distance or in noisy environments. It seems her hearing is beginning to fade. I love running this dog. This is heart breaking for us both. She is retired as a trial dog, though still gets to help with farm work.
